How much do people who defend Islam really know
about Islam ?
how many muslims have read the Koran in their native
languge rather than parroting it like zombies in Arabic ?
Ali Sina for instance denouces Islam
see faithfreedom.org
Sina is a Syed a decendent of Mohammed from Iran.
He hates his ex-religion. You don´t see this phenomena
from ex-christians, ex-hindus, or ex-buddists.
Then there the site homa.org which some serious
allegation about Islam. Muslims should refute these
claims since these available on the internet, else their religion will be discredited.

It comes as no surprise that Naipaul did not
mention Trinidad. I was born in Guyana of
Indian heritage also. The news of Naipaul's
Nobel Prize win did not even make it into any
newspapers. These countries in the Caribbean has
lots of problems with the Afro people who are still
trying to subjugate the Indians.

V.S Naipaul wins Nobel, finally

Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul today won an award that he had often said he would not win: the Nobel Prize for Literature. Horace Engdahl, head of the Swedish academy which chooses the award-winners, phoned Naipaul to tell him the good news. "He was very surprised and I don't think he was pretending," Engdahl said.
Naipaul, 69, has always maintained that the Swedish academy prefers politically correct writers and argued that his pro-Western views and criticism of the third world rendered him unacceptable.

Naipaul has been much in the news recently because of his critical remarks about Muslims. So the timing of the award is certain to be controversial. Engdahl conceded that Naipaul might be seen as a political winner.

"I don' think we will have violent protests from Islamic countries," Engdahl said. "If they take care to read his travel books, they will realise that his view of Islam is a lot more nuanced." Added Per Wastberg, another academy member, "Naipaul is critical of all religions."

The views of the two Swedes may surprise Naipaul whose criticism of Islam has not been matched by any similar criticism of Christianity or Hinduism. Said Ahmed Versi, editor of Muslim News, "He is a Hindu nationalist who has a deep dislike of Muslims."

That judgement may be unfair given that Naipaul's current wife is a Muslim. But equally, Naipaul's attitudes have often been called 'brahminical' and his Hindu background shows up in much more than his vegetarianism.

Naipaul has had a love-hate relationship with India, the country from which his ancestors emigrated to Trinidad. Two early books — An Area of Darkness on the 1960s and A Wounded Civilization — in the 1970s Exiled were bitterly critical. But the more recent A Million Mutinies Now is far kinder.

Certainly, he took care to mention India in his official response today. "It is a great tribute to both England, my home and to India, home of my ancestors." He made no reference to Trinidad, the country of his birth which he is said to loathe. And inevitably, he also said, "This is an unexpected accolade."
